I'm hosting them out rather than using Google Docs, but I did not like what Google docs does to word documents...donm61873http://www.blogger.com/profile/07855277967868713114noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4115718729413434114.post-52395562593667528692007-08-21T13:24:00.000-05:002007-08-21T14:13:05.662-05:00SkillsOk, this is what I've been working on lately, and it's NOT finished.

I started with the Iron Heroes skill set (which I think is superb), tossed Sean K Reynolds' ideas on Fewer Absolute Effects and a couple of ideas from Rich Burlew's Giants in the Playground site. Stir with my own additions of Melee Attack, Ranged Attack, and Spellcraft, and that's where it's at right now.

I need to add: Fortitude, Reflex and Will as skills (which will change how Saving Throws work, but Unearthed Arcana did much of the hard work there), and clean up the rest.

At that point, combat and spellcasting will be completely skill-based, and I'll be ready to move to levelling.donm61873http://www.blogger.com/profile/07855277967868713114noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4115718729413434114.post-38462604077906209712007-08-21T13:22:00.000-05:002007-08-21T13:23:45.610-05:00OGL PostedSo we're all legal here, the first document I'm posting is the OGL, and I'll keep it updated with where I'm borrowing from...

And if I've done this wrong, please be nice and e-mail me, rather than leave a nasty comment.donm61873http://www.blogger.com/profile/07855277967868713114noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4115718729413434114.post-74282901707214681542007-08-21T12:21:00.000-05:002007-08-21T13:10:32.554-05:00Exploring the SRDOK, so my players have seen it. It's the 250 page tome that got passed around during my D&D games. But it didn't go far enough, or change enough, or was "clean" enough, in ways that are difficult for me to express.

And sitting on my hard drive are three attempts to hack it up again.
But that's about to change, as I start posting pieces of that here for comedy or derision.
At least I might clear off some hard drive space.donm61873http://www.blogger.com/profile/07855277967868713114noreply@blogger.com0
